An engaging and immersive experience for the holiday season | MASSIVart - Artistic Direction

For this special holiday period, Ivanhoe Cambridge wanted to create an engaging and safe experience for visitors to its various properties, and to reactivate the heart of Montreal.

MASSIVart found creative solutions to activate four of their downtown locations – Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth, Centre Eaton de Montréal, Place Montréal Trust and Place Ville Marie – while offering a magical and joyful break to their visitors.

The 2020 holiday season took place in conditions never experienced before but it didn’t stop us from designing a unique and engaging activation, creating four destinations in the heart of the city. This thanks to a festive, connected and secure experience.

To deliver an engaging holiday experience in a safe and secure environment, we found a contact-free and connected solution as well as a unique story that linked the properties:

  • A mask designed for the occasion, 100% made in Quebec and hand-stitched in Montreal
  • Four immersive photo installations imagined in collaboration with Harrison Fun
  • Four fun and personalized Instagram filters
  • A contest to win Christmas prizes for mask holders
  • Support in the creation of marketing elements such as visual identity and copywriting to ensure that the experience was cohesive and creative down to the last detail.

Safety was at the heart of everything: open-plan layouts, distanced experiences, one-way paths and most of all, the unique mask created for the occasion. A challenge successfully taken up to offer a fun break in the path of the visitors of these destinations!
