The FLEX at PVM
A user-centric design and connected environment created to foster collaboration and creativity within the tenant community
Workspace Design - Art Curation - Production Management
Place Ville Marie (PVM), one of Montreal’s most iconic and prestigious real estate complexes, offers an innovative flexible workspace solution to its tenants. In collaboration with VAD and Ivanhoé Cambridge, MASSIVart managed the integration of art in the common areas to enhance the environment and contribute to the well-being of users.
The overall space will feature a variety of flexible and modular meeting spaces that can accommodate up to 50+ people, coworking rooms, individual booths, quiet areas and collaborative lounge spaces. All in a welcoming and sustainable environment focused on the comfort and well-being of its users.
To make this a reality, MASSIVart has worked in the selection, management, production, delivery and installation of seven artworks with different objectives in mind, including:
To elevate the design of the space by integrating elegant artworks by Montreal artists, creating an enveloping and inviting atmosphere, all in light and bright colours.
Among these works, Olivier Charland‘s participative mural Fragments de mémoire is a composition of several boxes and forms, which creates multiple encounters. The superimposed squares are intended to bring back special memories, architectures and interactions. The fast and organic drawings tell the story of the city’s liveliness and its visual interactions.
Thaïla Khampo is a Montreal illustrator who loves patterns, mystery, beautiful stories, naive art, caustic humour, simplicity and images that tell stories. Like Olivier Charland, Khampo has also created a work specific to this space, which is related to nature. Works by Mephisto Bates and Catherine Potvin have also been curated to complete this impactful collection.
We are excited to see that art has a central place in such an innovative space that sets an example for the future of office design solutions.
