Jump Start Summer in Montreal!

As part of “Jump Start Summer!” in Montreal, MASSIVart collaborated with the Quartier des Spectacles Partnership to select and supervise the production of 7 installations in various public spaces in the city.

“Jump Start Summer!” is a call to Montrealers to support the city’s restaurants, stores, hotels, artists and creators. How? By going out, exploring, encouraging local businesses, taking a mini vacation in their city.

MASSIVart acted as artistic consultants and operated the production management of 7 public art installations – called Placott’arts. These are relaxing stops carefully arranged by Montreal artists, designers or creative studios to (re)discover iconic downtown locations. These different works are the perfect motivators to encourage the population to re-appropriate the city through this creative journey – or museum – in the open air. It also encourages regional tourism by offering a cultural program that is accessible to everyone, anytime, easily.

In these uncertain times, this initiative is intended to be the embodiment of the creativity and resilience of our artistic community. Thanks to Jose Luis Torres, Viviane L-Dupuy for Pelouse, 2×4, Lucas Tisné, The Urban Conga, Judith Portier (Filles de Design), Waxhead, Esrawe + Cadena, HUB Studio, Creos, Dix2 with whom we are collaborating on this project!
