Public Art Installations - Sourcing & Appointment of Artists - Urban Development Projects
MASSIVart was approached by the Quartier des Spectacles to partner and co-produce an urban art exhibition as part of their annual public art programming. Sixteen artists were invited to showcase in the Promenade des Artistes, located in the heart of the city, for this unconventional open-air art show.
The exhibition highlighted the talent of renowned local street artists such as Miss Me, Labrona and Zilon. The works were presented on display stands of various sizes, as well as, on objects such as cars, cinderblocks, and shipping containers. The variety of original pieces impressively and beautifully demonstrate the diversity of artistic approaches found in street art.
This close collaboration between some major players from the Montreal urban art scene and MASSIVart resulted in an outstanding yet accessible public exhibition that locals and tourists alike could revel in.
