Cultural Programming - Artist collaborations, sourcing and management
As a part of This is Québec Tokyo, MASSIVart worked in partnership with Chromatic and UltraSuperNew Gallery as well as FRAMED and MUTEK to produce a digital exhibition featuring videos by Canadian artist Sabrina Ratté and Japanese artist Yoshi Sodeoka.
Our work on this exhibition included securing the host venue and sponsors as well as curation of the two artists: Yoshi Sodeoka and Sabrina Ratté. Sodeoka’s work has been exhibited internationally, including at Centre Pompidou (France), Tate Britain (United Kingdom), Museum of Modern Art (New York), Whitney Museum (New York). Ratté’s has been exhibited internationally including at Whitney Museum of Art (New York), Galerie Charlot (Paris), Chronus Art Center (Shanghai), Museum of the Moving Image (New York).
Our Managing Partner Claire Tousignant was also chosen to speak on the panel “Creators Case Studies on Immersive & Interactive Environments”. These speakers were chosen to present the latest artistic and innovative work of studios in Quebec to the Japanese professional audience.
